Scuba Dive Crew

Simona and Kay-Uwe

The permanent Team consists of Simona and Kay, who are supported by visiting Dive-Instructors or those with ambitions to become Instructors. From time to time there are students doing practical training who just wish to spend a few weeks with them and advance their diving skills.

Simona

Simona grew up on the Canary Isles and got her first Dive Certificate at the early age of 12 years. She is a “Three-Star Dive Instructor [TL***]” since 1994 and a Member of the Dive Examination Committee since 2001, which is TL**** . In February 2009 she qualified as a PADI-OWSI during a special training on Lanzarote.

Her favourite dive location is 1001-Eye´s that was discovered in 2004 . An underwater fairy tale with schools of Monkfish, Barracuda’s, white trevally and saupe.

She’ll tell you the secret behind the extra “odd” Eye when you visit.

Kay-Uwe

Kay-Uwe is a veteran diver with dive’s all around the Globe with well in excess of 10000 dives. He is a TL*** - Instructor also since 1994 and member of the Dive Examination Committee since 2001 ( TL**** ). His favourite dive is the “Boat Tower” which he build at a depth of 24 meters off the Costa Calma Beach, just a few minutes boat drive from the base. Although there is no feeding of fish, he is always visited be very large schools of amberjacks.
His additional hobby is Underwater-Photography and he is only too pleased to pass on his knowledge and give useful hints to his guest to improve their technique. He conducts training classes in underwater photography on request.
